Our Mission
Working together as a team, myself, the Board of Governors and the staff aim to provide a supportive and caring environment, inspirational teaching, upgraded technology and resources, concentrating on embedding the basic skills, while engaging and motivating our children through enrichment activities, to be the best they possibly can be.
We have an aspiration for all our children that through their school journey they will fulfil their academic potential and become successful lifelong learners. In addition, we endeavour that our children will possess high levels of both social and emotional intelligence so that they are well placed to succeed and thrive in the future, becoming active and productive members of society.
The Staff and Governors continually seek the views of parents, carers and visitors to our school. We recognise that parents play an important role in the education of their children and as such, we welcome your support and co-operation in making your child’s time at Ferndale Primary enjoyable.

- The Western Cape Education Department has introduced a change in the procedure for admissions from 2020 onwards. Applications for the 2027 School Year must be made online as well as a hard copy of the School's Application.
